Recent product updates and behavior changes in Brightwave.

May 6, 2026

  • Office Add-in — Brightwave is now available as a Microsoft 365 add-in for Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Chat with Brightwave inside Office and let agents read and edit your documents directly, in Office Add-in.
  • Added AI image generation — agents can now generate diagrams, visual summaries, and illustrations on demand and save them to your project's data room, in Agents & Outputs.

April 22, 2026

  • Added audio file uploads with automatic transcription — upload MP3, MP4, M4A, WAV, or WEBM files and Brightwave transcribes them for search, analysis, and citations, in Documents & Sources.

  • Added Ctrl+[ keyboard shortcut in the spreadsheet viewer to jump to a formula’s precedent cell, matching Excel behavior.
